Today, the induction week concluded with the meeting for the higher level students (level 5 and 6). This meeting was conducted by Mr Farrugia who is the deputy director of the ICT institute.

Induction Week

Today the induction sessions began for levels 1, 2 and 3. Tomorrow and Friday levels 4 and 5 will undergo the same session. The intension of this session is to discuss the operations, policies and guidelines of the ICT institute as written on the student handbook. 

The session was addressed by Mr. Vassallo (Acting Director) with the colloboration of Fr. Antoine, Mr. Zerafa and Mr. Tabone.

We take this opportunity to welcome all of our ICT students for the new academic year 2014/ 2015.

SpotOn Connections – GRAPHIC/WEB DESIGNER

We are seeking a graphic /web designer to join our client’s in-house marketing team. You will be required to work in a fast-paced and constantly developing environment. The opportunity for progression within the company is unlimited.

The role will entail:
Creating impressive designs and digital experiences that will delight and engage the audience.
Help the company’s various brands identify opportunity and drive growth through the combination of beautiful design, cutting edge technology and effective marketing collateral.
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of brands and on various projects and exercise your full range of design including web, print and application design.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Graphic Design or similar as well as a proven track record in design roles, either agency or client side.

Qualifications / Experience The ideal candidate should:

• Passionate about design, bringing new and innovative ideas
• A solid grounding in the principles of graphic design
• Fluent in Creative Suite
• Good understanding of issues regarding web standards, accessibility, SEO etc.
• Preferred Requirements:
• Basic skills in front end development, knowledge of HTML and CSS will be considered an asset.
• Proven track record within digital design (with examples), either agency or client

Betting Connections – Junior Graphic Designer Vacancy

Our client is currently looking for a Graphic Designer. This position requires a strong team player who can work in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality results. The selected candidate will work directly with other colleagues within the organization. S/he will be responsible for the conceptualization and design of graphic applications such as collateral material, environmental graphics, corporate identity and multimedia interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Coming up with design concepts that fit the company’s needs.
Create and design new company products.
Translate ideas into viable design concepts.
Generate websites, brochures, advertising, proposals, presentations and press releases within corporate templates (Print and Internet media).
Meet all deadlines set by the Marketing Manager.
Assist the Marketing Team with marketing and advertising strategies.
Work on additional special marketing projects.

Qualifications / Experience Proficiency in current graphic design practices and web production software, such us Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
Strong design style, including creative solutions within the constraints of the Internet.
Technical knowledge of how web-based technologies apply to web design such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Fluent level of English and Italian
