PTL Malta – Software Engineer Vacancy

PTL Malta is seeking a Software Engineer to join its dynamic team and support its diverse customer base.  

Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Product Engineering and Architecture, the successful applicant will join the software development team which develops and maintains bespoke solutions and inhouse products.

The Software Engineer will mentor junior developers, provide strategic technical input and technical solution designs, develop and unit-test solutions that have solid technical architecture and software engineering rigour, and liaise with the customer account management, business development and services teams.

The Software Engineer proactively contributes and develops PTL’s current products according to technical roadmaps; contributes to implementing innovative technologies for greater efficiencies and improved quality; provides analysis, debugging and troubleshooting of third level support calls; and delivers optimised code with excellent performance attributes.

 

THE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science or similar and be able to demonstrate proficiency in .NET, C#, ASP .NET, MVC, Javascript, CSS, Web APIs, SQL and Native Mobile Application development on iOS and/or Android with a minimum of two years’ experience. Candidates who have experience with cross-platform mobile application development frameworks such as Xamarin or UWP and use of the Microsoft Azure stack will be given preference. Any relevant certifications in the areas stipulated along with version control tools such as GIT will be considered an asset.

Candidates must possess excellent problem-solving skills and love technical challenges, be self-motivated and able to multi-task, and have experience in an Agile development environment.

Eunoia is seeking to recruit a talented Business Intelligence Developer to take responsibility for the design, development and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions.

Implicit in the success of this role is the ability to translate client data into meaningful information by capturing and aggregating data from varied sources.

This is a valuable opportunity for a motivated and ambitious BI professional who is an excellent team player with a passion for data manipulation, able to multi-task and take initiative. The role requires excellent written and communication skills and a positive customer centric attitude.

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Statistics (or related recognized degree) with at least two years’ relevant work experience.

The ideal candidate must possess strong knowledge of SQL, experience in Microsoft SSAS, SSIS and SSRS, basic knowledge of Windows Server and experience in VB.net or C#.net.

Experience in developing solutions using a BI tool such as Panorama Necto or Power BI will be advantageous.
